get your brains a workin-- drink some coffee and get mentally moving-- i want the perfect church name for our plant. i was going to say "we need the perfect church name", but that's not necessarily true. we aren't in a huge hurry- we don't NEED it right now- i just want it. soooo, get your creative juices flowing and send me some ideas. PULEEZZZEEEE! i know you guys and gals are much more creative than i am...
we thought about something like The Tabernacle of Holy Spirit Deliverance and Redemption Holiness Church, but figured that our friends could help us come up with something better... so if you don't, we might be stuck with something awful... and you wouldn't want to live with yourself if you let us pick a name like that one...
p.s. i'm KIDDING about that name, of course... in case you were wondering...

Here's my vote:
Smyrna Community Fellowship
No pressure.
What about StoneMill. In keeping with thte stone theme and Mill as a place where wheat is refined. Just a thought. Good to see you guys today.
in keeping with the stone theme, perhaps "brimstone" or "fire and brimstone". should bring the crowds. the holy rolling stone church o'God. the stone that was rolled away fellowship. the best move might be to choose something difficult to pronounce...keep 'em guessing (communality and ecclesia spring to mind :)
we loved seeing you guys. looking forward to more time...
love,
geoff and sherry
Can't remember if I commented before, but how wonderful that you'll be moving closer to your family in Georgia! And now you'll have plenty of reasons (people) to go back and visit Florida. Wish I had a cool idea for your church name. If I'm ever down that way, I'll be sure to visit!
Obligatory joke answer: Judgment House.
Are you looking for a trendy, one-word, non-church-sounding church name?
travis-
i suppose i AM looking for a trendy, non-church sounding name, although it doesnt have to be one word... and i guess it can sound like a church... but it doesn't need to be scary... :)
I've always liked the word Ignite. Also, maybe something including the word Way. I think it depends on what community you're trying to reach/act in mission toward. I don't suppose you've considered "Wesley for grown-ups"?
I think given Steve's penchant for long-winded sermons, the word "breath" definitely needs to be in the name. Perhaps, The Breath of the Holy Spirit Community Church.
What about "RiverStone Charleston"?
