...crazier than a pet coon...

this guys is a TOTAL mess! did you see this Letterman interview? i could NOT believe it. some people say it's all a hoax-- a publicity stunt. after the Letterman interview i have a hard time believing he isn't really screwed up and addicted to some serious drugs. i would love to know your thoughts!
he says he's leaving acting to pursue a hip-hop career. is he fo- real or is this all part of an elaborate plan to dupe us?

check out this link to see him fall off the stage while performing one of his originals...

... can someone point me to the money tree? ....

this afternoon i responded to a desperate plea from anna katherine.  she implored me to follow her into the foyer to respond to the mischief her younger sister had gotten into.
i walked in and found sara on the floor with scissors. and a pile of cut up dollar bills.
what?!?!?

... cousin day...

my brother and his wife needed a date afternoon this weekend, so their little ones came to hang out with me and the girls all day on saturday.  steve was fishing in a tournament, so it was me and the kiddos all day long.  pretty much a girls day if you don't count baby vic.. ;)

and i just had to include a picture of the girls and their tea party...
(yes, my girls have on red and white sequined bandana patterned dresses complete with sewn-in crinoline which would be perfect for a fancy hoe-down-- don't judge!)

...ak's rant...

anna katherine's impromptu performance sharing her opinion about cleaning.
she and i---- well, one could say we see eye to eye sometimes. she just might be playing the role of her momma in this video...

...perfect bribe material...

i know my daughter will KILL me one day for posting this video on the internet. and i guess i'll cross that bridge when i get there.
for now, enjoy :)

...blogspot question???...

does anyone know why some pictures that i post can be clicked on and enlarged and others cannot?? can't figure that one out.

... old school...

last night i was able to have dinner with a few of my girlfriends from high school. all of these girls were very important in my life at one time or another, and i haven't been able to spend much time with any of them in years. FINALLY there was an evening planned to catch up!

because i've been mentally occupied with sick kids and church planting i didn't really spend much time getting excited about the evening.  on my way down to the twisted taco (which surprisingly enough had pretty good tacos), i turned the radio to an 80's station in preparation of meeting my "old" friends. this station can pretty much be counted on to play all of my old classic favorites, and i'm rarely disappointed when i tune in.  they didn't disappoint tonight either, and i had jack and diane blaring all the way to the restaurant. memories flooded my mind.  by the time i arrived, i was almost giddy about meeting up with them!

we sat and shared about our lives.  we talked children, parents, and husbands. disappointments and successes.  i was reminded of my affection for each of them, and grateful that even after 23 years of separation we could pick up where we left off.  there is just something beautiful about childhood friendships that last the test of time...

here are a few pictures..

meet cappy and beth (and you know me)..

meet cris, kelley, and stacy. can't you tell they are ecstatic about being photographed?

after much begging and pleading, i FINALLY got a group picture.. cris got cut off, but i figure since she was the one that i had to plead the most with for the group shot, she'll probably be thrilled...

... she's a trooper...

my girl is amazing.

she and i spent the night at scottish rite children's hospital last night for sara to complete a sleep study.  isn't she a cutie?  even with all of those wires attached to her body, she was smiling.  toni, our nurse, said there were close to 30 different wires taped to her head, chest, back, and belly. there was only a brief instance of fear along with tears, and then she was super brave the remainder of the night. we didn't get much sleep because of consistent equipment failure throughout the evening, but hopefully they were able to gather the data they need.
results are back in 7 to 10 days so i'll let you know what we find out.

(oh. sorry for the poor photo quality. i'm thinking i need an iphone so that i can really capture important moments a bit more clearly. don't you agree?)

...oh the weather outside is frightful...

and the fire is so delightful... and since we've no place to go... LET IT SNOW LET IT SNOW LET IT SNOW

after much anticipation, we finally got some snow. we walked out of church this morning to lots of fluffy white snow falling, and by the time we drove 20 minutes north to our home there was no more white fluffy stuff falling but rainy wet snow. and basically no coverage on the ground at all. bummer for the girls :(
i did manage to get these pictures of anna katherine though. this may just be the extent of the snow we'll see this year!

today we'll be renting movies and hanging out at home. wanna come over?
