when she got out of surgery she was quite distraught and was crying for close to 30 minutes afterwards. she wanted her i.v. OUT. they gave her more liquid lortab, and between that and Dora she settled down fairly quickly. we stuck around the hospital for a few hours, and then we were released to go home. on the trip home, she got nauseated and threw up and also teetee'd in the car seat. nice. i felt terrible for her.
the afternoon consisted of couch time and one movie after another. she ate popsicle after popsicle. the later it got, the more whiny she became. now she's in bed sleeping nicely.
pray for an easy and quick recovery for my baby if you think of it!

ugh, hate that it was hard for her. Viji had hers out too when she was the same age, she actually panicked so much post-op, she tore the iv out of her little hand. She broke the glass bottle too (yeah, india uses glass bottles still). Hope she feels better soon!
I'll pray she recovers quickly. I can still vividly remembering waking up from surgery at age 3 and throwing up on my favorite blankie. Tramatizing. :) It was enough to make me insist on anti-nausea medicine for my next surgery, age 10.
what a big girl!!! she'll be bouncing off the wall before you know it--we'll pray for her!
I figured it was something like that! Poor baby girl but DANG, I know she'll be happier without them!
So, from the beach to the hospital! Wow...I guess that's a way to keep the spirits high. I hope she is feeling better. See you soon.
