one day a few weeks back i went coffeehouse hopping in atlanta with several girlfriends. we went to this cool little place called Java Monkey (my favorite i think) and i ordered tea.
well, this is what they served it in
a small pot called "ingenuitea".
call me clueless, but i had never seen a pot quite like it. they put steaming hot water in this pot along with the loose tea of my choice. it steeps for a few minutes and then you set the pot on top of a mug and it drains out the bottom into the mug. no pouring or anything!
since i used this contraption, i've been dying to get one. i hope to NEVER go back to tea bags again. nope, loose tea is the only way. (never mind that i just had hot tea from a tea bag last week).
anyway, i found one on amazon. and it's only 14.95! they also sell a glass mug that partners with it for 10 bucks. i think i'm ordering one tonight... or maybe later this week...
do any of you drink tea? and if so, do you have an ingenuitea contraption? give me the skinny friends!

I admit it, I am a tea snob and yes I have one of these contraptions! I love it, but I have several other options that I equally love. You and I should definitely get together for tea. And loose is the only way to go. Forget the bag baby!
So I expect to see this contraption at the Vintage Coffee House.... You may start a trend in Cedarcrest!
I do have one. I LOVE IT!! The brand name is "Timolino" (Aromatic Australian Press)and mine came from Tea&Traditions. Tea & Traditions is an Acworth based comp.

PS - I love the "Fiji" tea
i've tried this little guy..and even though i'm not a huge fan of hot tea, I really loved the flavor. Totally worth the $15.
And maybe we can use it and drink tea together the next time I see you... ;)
You do know that I sell tea? :)
"The world of fine tea at your fingertips" is just a click away and I'm not that far from your house either....
Although Rob and I are coffee snobs for sure...our friends Charley and Kyle introduced us to this wonderful, fun-to-watch accessory. I thought the tea tasted so much better being a loose leaf tea. I can't remember the names of the ones we have tried, but I will let you know soon.
